This is our auspicious invitation to the Sri Maha Rudram & Sri Lalitha Sahasranama Maha Yagnam conducted by Her Holiness Amma Sri Karunamayi from May 31 through June 9 2025 in Forsyth, GA.  A sankalpa or intention has been made to perform maha yagnas for world peace, the welfare of devotees and mankind, the progress of youth and the protection of women. Your presence is very important for this program.

The SRIM Center welcomes you to dive into the mystical and transformative world of Vedic fire ceremonies (yagnams) under the auspices of the Divine Mother, Amma Sri Karunamayi. Amma first offered the Maha Yagnam at the SRIM Center in 2014. 

During a yagnam, participants offer ghee, herbs, etc. into a sanctified fire while mantras are chanted, connecting devotees with deities and the blessings they bestow. The benefits of homas / Vedic fire ceremonies offered over 10 days (a maha -great- yagnam) are enormous, compounding and enhancing the purification of the mind, body, soul and surrounding atmosphere. 

There is a distinct advantage of doing all the homas at the SRIM Center. Many devotees have been chanting powerful mantras and doing pujas at home. Come to the SRIM Center, and you will receive great healing from these homas. We look forward to welcoming you all, along with friends and family for this auspicious event.

Attendance: The Maha Yagnam is open to the public and is free of charge to attend and observe the ceremonies.

Annadanam takes place on all 10 days of the program with 3 meals a day being served daily at no cost.  Please be sure to register at your earliest convenience so that we can prepare for your arrival and plan for annadanam. All those who are attending the yagnam, including sponsors who are participating in the homas are requested to register here.

Several sponsorship opportunities are available for individual homa participation where one may sit at a homa kunda and make offerings into the sacrificial fires.  Of the total of 20 homa kundas in the yagnashala, the first homa kunda at which Amma is seated and performs homas is called the “Manidweepa” homa kunda and the remaining 19 are referred to as standard homa kundas.

Standard Homa Kunda Sponsorship

The standard homa kundas have a total seating capacity of over 300.  Multiple homa fires will be set up within each standard homa kunda with participants seated all around the homa kunda.  2 participants can be expected to share one fire for making their homa offerings.  Seating for the homa kundas will be assigned in the order of their sponsorship dates, with all day sponsors getting priority seating closer to Amma’s Manidweepa homa kunda.

Manidweepa Homa Kunda Sponsorship

During all days of Maha Yagnam, when Divine Mother, Amma Herself performs the various homas at Her Manidweepa Homa Kunda, the energy and radiance that emanates at this time, in this space is beyond measure.  To be seated at close proximity to Amma, to watch Amma perform the homas from start to finish for several hours in the morning, while simultaneously doing homa with our own hands, is a rare, incredibly blessed and treasured experience.

Manidweepa Homa Kunda has very limited number of spots for participation.  Those devotees who are interested in taking up the Manidweepa sponsorship for performing homa alongside with Amma at Mandiweepa homa kunda are requested to apply early by clicking on the below button.  Seats are assigned on a first-come first-served basis.

Prasadams for sponsorships

All homa sponsors will receive blessed prasadam items such as murtis, malas, yantras and more, which are blessed by Amma and charged with the powerful vibrations of the homas.  These prasadam items can be carried home with you and placed at your altar, for receiving continued blessings, protection and support for your sadhana.

Note: If you are unable to come for the yajnam, you are welcome to sponsor and still receive the benefit of sponsoring – sankalpam will be read for you and your family members and blessed prasadam will be mailed to your home address.

Annadanam

According to scriptures, Annadanam or food charity is considered to be one of the highest forms of charity and bestows many merits to the donor.  When this act of annadanam is performed at an extremely auspicious and highly powerful event such as the Maha Yagnam, in the presence of a Divine Incarnation, the merits are multiplied manifold. Your donations towards annadanam at the SRIM Center, make it possible to provide free nutritious satvik meals to all devotees coming for the Maha Yagnam. On almost all days, the lunch “prasadam” meals have typically been handed out to each and everyone by Amma Herself.
