AMMA SRI KARUNAMAYI

2026 MAHA YAGNAM @ THE SRIM CENTER

Friday, May 1st through Sunday, May 10th, 2026

WE WELCOME ALL SPIRITUAL SEEKERS & DEVOTEES TO THE SRIM CENTER

SRIM Center warmly invites you to this year’s Shiva Shakti Sahitha Subrahmanya Mahayajnam, presided over by the Divine Mother, Her Holiness Amma Sri Karunamayi. Since 2014, this sacred space—personally energized and sanctified by Amma—has served as a profound refuge for healing, where countless hearts have found peace, strength, and renewal.

This year, in Her boundless compassion, Amma has taken the sankalpam to dedicate the Mahayajnam for universal protection, in response to the pain, uncertainty, and loss experienced by so many across the world. This is a time to come together—not only for spiritual upliftment, but to feel safe, supported, and held in the loving embrace of the Divine.

Yagnams are powerful sacred processes that dissolve inner limitations and karmic burdens, purifying the mind, body, and subtle energies. Through the union of mantras, fire, and sankalpam, they elevate consciousness, awaken inner strength, and accelerate one’s journey toward divine alignment and spiritual awakening.

Over the course of 10 days, more than 16 different homas will be performed, along with a special Subrahmanya homa each day for protection. Complemented by daily Rudrabhishekams, these sacred fire rituals and prayers invoke health, prosperity, and protection for all beings. In this divinely energized environment, Amma’s presence magnifies every sankalpam, creating a powerful protective field that extends beyond those present to embrace the entire world.

This Mahayajnam is not merely a ritual—it is a call to healing, a sanctuary for the heart, and a collective invocation for protection and well-being for all humanity.

Amma says, If you take one step towards me, I will come a thousand steps towards you.”
Come, take that step—into healing, into protection, and into the boundless compassion of the Divine Mother.

Please note that the homa schedule is subject to change

The Mahayajnam is open to all and free to attend. In the spirit of selfless giving, Annadanam (sacred meals) will be lovingly served three times a day throughout all 10 days, nourishing every soul who comes.

Standard Homa Kunda Sponsorship

The standard homa kundas have a total seating capacity of over 300.  Multiple homa fires will be set up within each standard homa kunda with participants seated all around the homa kunda.  2 participants can be expected to share one fire for making their homa offerings.  Seating for the homa kundas will be assigned in the order of their sponsorship dates, with all day sponsors getting priority seating closer to Amma’s Manidweepa homa kunda.

Annadanam

Annadanam—the sacred offering of food—is revered in the scriptures as one of the highest forms of seva, for it nourishes life itself. It is said that feeding even one being with sincerity releases karmic debt and invokes immense merit; when offered during a Mahayajnam in the presence of Amma Sri Karunamayi, its blessings are multiplied manyfold.

Your support for annadanam at the SRIM Center is an offering of compassion in action—ensuring that every person who comes is cared for and nourished. On many days, the prasadam is lovingly served by Amma Herself, transforming this simple act of giving into a deeply sacred and grace-filled experience.

Homa Significance and Benefits

Throughout the 10 days of the Maha Yajnam, a variety of special homas dedicated to different deities will be performed. Each homa carries its own spiritual significance and is believed to bestow unique blessings and benefits.

Ganesha Homa gently clears the path ahead when life feels blocked or heavy. It helps remove obstacles, ease difficulties, and bring a sense of relief and protection during challenging times. As the grace of Sri Maha Ganesha flows into your life, it softens sorrow, brings peace to the mind, and opens new doors for prosperity and progress. It also purifies inner imbalances and strengthens your connection to dharma, helping you move forward with clarity and confidence.

Rudra Homa carries a powerful energy that cleanses, protects, and restores balance. It helps dissolve deep-rooted pain and suffering, even those that feel overwhelming or long-standing. By bringing harmony to the five elements within and around you, it creates a sense of grounding and stability. It also offers protection from larger disturbances and brings strength, health, and a renewed sense of inner power.

Maha Mrityunjaya Homa is a sacred and comforting practice that brings protection, healing, and peace. Rooted in the powerful Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra—the same mantra that blessed Markandeya Maharshi with immortality—it carries the energy of overcoming fear of death and transcending even the deepest challenges. It supports healing, promotes longevity, and brings a calm, steady strength that helps you move through life with faith and resilience.

Subrahmanya Homa helps you move forward when life feels stuck or difficult. It removes the ill effects of kuja dosha (Mars affliction) by removing fear, protecting from accidents and sickness and overcoming challenges caused by enemies or obstacles. It brings strength, clarity, and momentum into your actions. Whether you are seeking success in your career, looking for a job, or hoping for growth in your family, this homa supports progress, prosperity, and positive outcomes in life.

Navagraha Homa helps bring harmony to the unseen forces that influence your life. When things feel out of sync or uncertain, this homa gently aligns your life with the natural cosmic rhythm. It reduces the impact of difficult planetary influences, removes obstacles, and brings a sense of balance, peace, and stability. Over time, it helps you feel more centered, supported, and aligned with your path. Performing this homa in the auspicious presence of Sri Durga Devi on Sunday (Bhanu vasara – day of the week) is a Maha Yogam with Maha Phalam (great fruit) and Maha Mrutyum Tarali (warding off of Great Death)

Ayush Homa is a beautiful prayer for life itself—for health, longevity, and protection. It strengthens your life force, supports healing, and brings a sense of safety during vulnerable times. Whether performed for a child, during recovery, or as a yearly blessing, this homa nurtures vitality and protects against harm, including untimely challenges. It fills life with strength, care, and a quiet sense of divine protection.

Hanuman Homa brings a powerful combination of strength, devotion, and unwavering courage into your life. When you turn to Lord Hanuman, especially with sincerity and faith, you begin to feel a deep inner strength that helps you face anything life brings. This homa bestows strength (Balam), prosperity (Yasham), wealth (Dhanam), power (Shakti), peace (Shanti), righteousness (Dharma), and devotion (Bhakti). According to the Bharga Samhita, those who begin their day with the darshan of Sri Hanuman, worship Him, and engage in His upasana are blessed with all forms of auspiciousness. Lord Hanuman embodies the sacred Bharga Shakti, as extolled in the Gayatri Mantra. Worship performed on Tuesdays is considered especially potent and yields abundant spiritual benefits.

Durga Homa fills you with strength and courage. It is performed to remove negative influences, overcome obstacles, and invoke courage, clarity, and victory in life. This homa is especially beneficial during periods of mental unrest, fear, and repeated setbacks, as it grants inner strength and protection from both visible and unseen adversities. Durga Homa neutralizes the adverse effects of rahu/ketu doshas and shani afflictions and overall navagraha doshas. Extolled as ‘Aparajitha’ Durga Devi grants undefeatable strength and courage.

Vishnu Homa brings a deep sense of stability and peace into your life. When things feel uncertain or unsteady, it helps restore balance and keeps your life moving in a steady, positive direction. It protects what is already good, nurtures growth, and brings calmness and clarity. This homa helps you feel supported, grounded, and aligned with your path.

Narasimha Homa offers divine grace to remove deep-rooted fears and overcome intense challenges. It bestows immediate intervention by creating a highly charged protective energy field (kavacha-like shield) that actively repels negativity, fear, and hostile forces—both seen and unseen. Narasimha Homa represents divine intervention when human effort reaches its limit—it breaks through intense karmic patterns and restores protection, justice, and balance. It brings a sense of safety, strength, and divine assurance that you are protected.

Rudra Pashupatha Homa is a highly potent vedic ritual that surrounds you with a strong and protective spiritual shield. Through the use of powerful beeja aksharas, the homa invokes the protective force of Lord Shiva’s Pashupatastra, offering protection during life’s most difficult phases – especially untimely death –  and brings a sense of reassurance, resilience, and divine support when it is needed most.

Sudarshana Homa brings both protection and clarity into your life. It invokes the sacred discus of Lord Vishnu to cut across the negativity and obstacles to help see things more clearly. It clears confusion, sharpens your awareness, and helps you move forward with better understanding. This homa creates a protective and purifying energy around you while guiding you toward truth, clarity, and inner balance.

If you find yourself constantly overwhelmed by life’s challenges—feeling stressed, exhausted, or losing hope as problems seem like dark clouds in your life—Chandi Homa offers a powerful source of divine support. When difficulties lead to mental unrest, repeated setbacks, or even affect your health, this sacred ritual invokes the compassionate and protective grace of Goddess Chandi. Especially for those experiencing Navagraha doshas or adverse planetary influences, Chandi Homa serves as a profound shield, helping clear negativity and restore strength, clarity, and courage. The mantras of this homa are deeply powerful, and when performed with sincerity by learned Vedic scholars, they bring transformative relief, protection, and renewed light into one’s life.

Lakshmi Kubera Homa brings a sense of financial ease and stability into your life. It helps remove blocks around money, supports the resolution of debts, and opens the flow of abundance. At the same time, it gives you the courage and confidence to move forward with your goals. With the combined blessings of Goddess Lakshmi, the deity of wealth and prosperity and Lord Kubera, the guardian of riches, this homa nurtures prosperity, supports success in work and business, and brings peace and balance to your financial life.

Lalitha Homa gently transforms you from within. One commands respect and support only when one is healthy and financially secure. Deprived of these, one faces unsurmountable challenges. The four essential qualities that truly sustain during such challenging times are —courage, foresight, intelligence, and the ability to act with clarity and purpose. These divine strengths are graciously bestowed by Sri Lalitambika Devi, the embodiment of Shiva Shakti.

No matter how many challenges you are facing, it is these inner qualities that lead to success and victory. Lalitha Homa invokes the compassionate and powerful grace of the Divine Mother, uplifting you, strengthening your inner resolve, and guiding you towards progress and achievement. It fills one’s life with shakti (divine energy), auspiciousness, and the strength to rise above all obstacles. It is often said that the world recognizes only success—but the path to that victory is shaped by divine grace. The sacred name of Sri Lalita Devi is so powerful that even the remembrance of it is believed to dissolve the weight of billions of sins. Through Lalitha Homa, you will be blessed with inner transformation, strength, and the ability to move forward with confidence and purpose.

Nakshatra Homa is performed to honor and harmonize the influence of your birth star (Janma Nakshatra), which plays a vital role in shaping personality, life patterns, health, relationships, and overall destiny. Each nakshatra carries a unique energy that influences thoughts, emotions, and life experiences, and imbalances in this energy can manifest as challenges or disruptions. This homa gently aligns and strengthens the positive aspects of your nakshatra while reducing adverse influences. By attuning the individual to their inherent cosmic rhythm, Nakshatra Homa fosters peace, protection, and a smoother path forward in life.
