Sravana Masam is a month in the lunar calendar that is rich in cosmic symbolism and offers profound scientific and spiritual benefits. It is considered a highly auspicious time to worship Lord Shiva on Mondays and Maha Lakshmi on Fridays, amplifying inner peace, clarity, devotion, and karmic cleansing.
Kanth Garu will conduct powerful abhishekams, homams / fire ceremonies and poojas during Sravana masam. The gravitational alignment during this month is believed to support emotional equilibrium and deeper states of consciousness. On the final Monday in Sravana Masam (August 22), he will perform Rudrabhiskem with sesame oil, which symbolizes purity, has therapeutic properties, purifies the environment and connects the devotee to Lord Shiva’s grace.
Benefits: Rituals performed during this period—such as chanting, fasting, and meditative practices—accelerate spiritual growth, regulate the nervous system, reduce cortisol levels, and enhance mental clarity.
